The 1952-S Wheat Penny is the lowest mintage penny released into circulation in 1952. San Francisco Minted less Wheat Pennies than both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints that year. It is unbelievable that these pieces have been preserved in such unbelievable condition considering they were released into circulation! NGC has certified each piece in MS66 RD which means that not only are the coins in amazing shape, but still exhibit all of their original "red" coloring and haven't tarnished to brown like many Wheat Pennies. Finding coins certified as "RD" like these is extremely difficult as copper is known to tarnish heavily over the years.
