An international fair was held in 1926 in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Funds were needed to hold this fair, so the U.S. Mint issued this stunning half dollar and a $2.5 Gold coin to raise money.

This 1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar is the first coin to ever bear the portrait of a U.S. President. The obverse depicts portraits of Calvin Coolidge and George Washington. When you turn the coin over, you see a stunning depiction of the Liberty Bell.

These coins were struck with a very shallow die, causing many of them to be weakly struck or with little detail. We have hand selected 40 of the nicest pieces we could find to offer you the perfect collectible. Only 141,120 of these Silver Half Dollars were minted, and who knows just how few have survived in exceptional Brilliant Uncirculated condition like these. Don't hesitate because these will be gone fast!
