Product Description
The Peace Dollar was minted from 1921 to 1928, in 1934 and 1935, to symbolize peace after the end of World War I. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the coin was the result of a competition to find designs emblematic of peace. Its obverse shows a stunning design of the head and neck of Liberty in profile, with the reverse showing the national Bald Eagle clutching the olive branch of peace. It was the last United States dollar coin to be struck for circulation in silver, which makes it a popular coin amongst collectors.
These 1921 Peace Dollars have been certified by NGC to be in a stunning GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition. For a coin this old, thats incredible! Each coin has also been signed by Wayne Miller, famous author of the ultimate collector's guide, The Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook! The label has also been specially designed to highlight the book. Add these to your collection before you have to pay a premium once the coins are rereleased this year!
