Product Description
This was the first United States commemorative coin ever produced! The obverse depicts Christopher Columbus and the reverse, designed by George T. Morgan, depicts his flagship, the Santa Maria. These coins are composed of 90% silver and have a super low mintage of just 950,000 in 1892 and 1,550,405 in 1893.
These mintage numbers make this coin about 200x as rare as the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar, a modern rare silver coin collectors cannot get enough of. Each of these coins is in stunning, brilliant uncirculated condition and exhibits unbelievable luster and detail. Think of how few of these still exist, especially in such great shape! Having the first silver dollar the U.S. made is a very important piece for your collection. We we only have a handful, so make sure to act fast!
